Health First Fitness provides the optimal forum for personal training by accepting only one client at a time. Workouts are designed to accommodate your current level of skill and ability and will progress as your fitness level improves. My methods are conservative and creative but my expectations are high. Your body and mind will be challenged at each session.

About Me

My name is Leslie Gallo and I have been a certified fitness professional since 1995. I consider myself a health and fitness educator equally as much as I consider myself a personal trainer.

There was a time in my past where I was unfit, unhappy and overweight. One day I made a decision (and you can, too!) to reclaim my health. I started out slowly with a program of weight training, walking, and basic dietary discipline. Gradually, I was able to replace my unhealthy habits with healthy lifestyle choices and I will do my best to help you learn to do the same.

At age 47, I am old enough to understand what it feels like to live in a body that’s beginning to feel the effects of aging but young enough to have plenty of energy to share with you and be your partner in fitness and health!

  • ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Certified Health Fitness Specialist. Continuous since 1999.
  • San Diego State University, BS, Kinesiology, Specialization in Fitness, Nutrition and Health.
    Graduated with honors and distinction. (1999)
  • Bikram's Yoga College of India 500 hour Teacher Training course, Los Angeles, California. Graduated fall 2000.
  • Monterey Peninsula College, AS, Fitness Instructor Training (1996)
  • American Red Cross Certified in CPR and First Aid (continuous since 1995)
  • ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Personal Trainer 1995-1999
  • 1st place - 2005 Bisnu Charan Ghosh Hawaii Regional Yoga Championship
  • 2nd place - 2001 All Services (US Military) Bodybuilding Competition
  • 2nd place – 2001 Paradise Cup Body Building Championships
